Phil arrived at Point Blank with an extensive background in martial arts and high-impact sports, including Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Rugby, and Hockey. Having spent over a decade immersed in physically demanding activities, he has always thrived on the challenge of pushing his limits.
With intense sports often comes the risk of injury, but what stood out to Phil at Point Blank was the emphasis on smart, progressive training rather than rushed, injury-prone development. This approach, combined with the strong sense of community, resonated with him—so much so that he set his sights on becoming an instructor.
A natural leader and "people person," Phil has a wealth of coaching experience. He has assisted with high school sports teams, worked in team environments in the construction industry for over a decade, and served as both a lifeguard and swimming instructor. His ability to connect with students of all ages—including children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with special needs—makes him an invaluable mentor. Certified in First Aid and CPR, Phil prioritizes safety while ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience.
His adaptability and deep understanding of technique have made him an essential part of the Point Blank instructor team. He seamlessly translates his own training into practical, effective lessons for his students. A dedicated competitor, Phil has stepped into the ring for Muay Thai amateur fights and continues his rigorous training with the goal of fighting again.
Phil holds certifications to teach Muay Thai, Grappling, MMA, and Escrima. His martial arts lineage traces back to Bruce Lee as a 4th Generation Instructor in Jeet Kune Do, and he is currently working toward his Krav Maga Instructor Certification. His dedication to both personal growth and student success makes him a key figure in the Point Blank community.
